Sytchampton Endowed Primary School

Headteacher's Welcome

Mrs Williams, our Headteacher.

Here at Sytchampton we are passionate about learning in a wonderful rural setting.

Our emphasis is on each individual child, who is welcomed into our reception class, and it is here that the important links are developed between home and school. In early years children are encouraged to explore, develop and build their skill base. We then encourage children to grow as outstanding learners with the skills and confidence to take on whatever challenges the future may bring.

Our dedicated team of teachers, support staff and governors provide a caring and supportive environment in which children thrive.

Our curriculum embraces creativity, makes relevant links and is celebrated with impressive displays of pupil’s work. We are also proud to offer Music, French, Forest schools, PE coaching and extra curricular activities.

Our size enables us to retain a unique village ethos with a strong sense of community and parental involvement which is reflected by the enthusiasm of the PTA and parents attendance at our celebration assemblies and events.

Since September 2015 we have offered education through to Year 6, and in July 2017 our first Year 6 cohort moved on to secondary school. We are very proud of the first set of Key Stage 2 SATs results and prepared pupils well for their next stage of learning. They worked collaboratively in the summer term on an ‘Apprentice’ style project learning business skills and fundraising. They also led Key Stage 2 in a production of ‘Aladdin Trouble’.

Come and meet our pupils who are happy, confident and have excellent standards of behaviour.
